Accommodation

The Property sits on the edge of the village of Longhope in the County of Gloucestershire, which itself lies approximately 10 miles west of Gloucester and 8 miles east of Ross-on-Wye. The two towns are linked by the A40 and the Home is set back from this road. The village sits to the north of the Forest of Dean

The village of Longhope dates back to the Norman Conquest and has facilities such as a post office, a local shop, school and church.

The Manor House was originally built in the late 18th century and would have been where the Lord of the Manor lived, the last of which was William Roberts M.A. who died in 1880. During the Second World War it was home to evacuees and the Home Guard.

By the 1960s, the property had changed to the Manor House Hotel which hosted wedding receptions and comedy clubs. Bob Monkhouse and Ken Dodd were regular visitors.

The Manor House Nursing Home sits in a pleasant location, surrounded by beautiful gardens, on the edge of the village with the adjoining properties being a mix of residential dwellings and several acres of agricultural land.
